Gone are the days when the flower girls simply carried posies of flowers. Now we are getting more creative and conscious of the fact that they are little children and will need to be kept occupied during the service with something "special". Many couples give bubbles to the flower girls to blow as this is fun and entertaining to not only them but the guests too. Wands, parasols and buckets are also becoming very popular. I have even had some couples buy the hollow tin buckets and then put a little book and some pencils inside for the flower girls to "quietly" use during the service. Not suitable to every age, but not such a bad idea!
